Health & Medical Information

  • Sauna use is undertaken at your own risk

  • Do not use the sauna under the influence of alcohol or drugs

  • Not recommended during pregnancy without medical advice

  • Consult your GP before use if you have heart conditions, high blood pressure or other medical concerns

  • Exit immediately if feeling dizzy, faint or unwell

  • Cold water / sea entry is unsupervised and entirely at your own risk

  • By attending Bocs Chwys you confirm you are medically fit to participate

Before Your Session

  • Bring a towel to sit on and another to dry with

  • Please leave footwear outside the sauna

  • Arrive hydrated

  • Shower or dip before your session where possible

  • Always sit on your towel

  • Enter and leave quickly — keep the door closed

  • Before creating löyly (throwing water on the rocks), ask others first

  • Little and often is best — 2–3 scoops maximum

  • Respect others and the shared space

Cooling Off

  • Take breaks between rounds

  • Listen to your body — never force yourself to stay in

  • Relax and rehydrate after your session

  • Footwear is recommended for beach walks and sea dips
